Holes Movie Remake: A Ponte Vedra Landscaping Adventure
Scene 1: Digging Deep in Marsh Landing
The sun peeked over Marsh Landing, Ponte Vedra Beach, as David Holloway, landscape designer extraordinaire, announced, “We’re out here doing a refilming of the movie ‘Holes’!” Smiles and chuckles followed as the Rockaway Landscaping crew dug palm tree holes. David described one of the challenges as their shovels unearthed a buried palm stump from yesteryear. Mike and Mike, the dynamic digging duo, adjusted course with a grin, proving landscaping ain’t cabinet making – it’s an adventure!
Scene 2: Two Weeks Later, Palms Swaying in the Breeze
Fast forward two weeks, and the Holes movie set had blossomed into a tropical paradise. Sable palms, tall and proud, stood guard, staked against the wind. Low-maintenance beauties included blue daze and European fan palms while big sable palms mirrored each other across the front yard, creating a sense of pleasing symmetry.
David took off running (as other clients are waiting) to the backyard where, a symphony of low-maintenance plants – grasses, pygmy date palms, and even dune sunflowers – swayed in the breeze. The banks of the marsh has been cleaned up allowing a better view of the beautifully manicured golf course in the distance. But wait! Disaster struck! One of our newly planted magnificent pygmy date palms, and Mr Owl, lay toppled by a recent storm. Fear not, for while we don’t always get it right we make it right and our staff will return, restake everything, and restore Mr. Owl to his rightful throne.
Scene 3: Flamingos Flock to Ponte Vedra
And the grand finale? Arboricolas variegated shades of green echo the colors of the front entryway, while blue daze and mulch painted the landscape in vibrant hues. But the pièce de résistance? David’s entourage of vibrant fiberglass flamingos strutting their stuff in the front bed, celebrating the yard’s newfound flamingo worthiness.
“Happy birthday, Mom!” David declared, sending the birthday wishes dancing on the wings of the feathered (well, plastic) revelers. The flamingos, it seemed, had their sights set on a Mardi Gras adventure in New Orleans soon, already decked out in their beaded necklaces.
With that, David took off to serve up his next landscaping adventure. If you are ready give us a call to get started.
